Job Description

Spector Pipe Services Ltd. is seeking an experienced Loader / Forklift Operator to join our growing team in the Grande Prairie region.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and accurate movement, loading, unloading and staging of tubing, casing, drill pipe and other tubular products within our pipe yard and facility.

This position is well suited to someone with previous experience operating forklifts, loaders or similar material-handling equipment who is comfortable working around pipe, trucks and heavy equipment. Experience handling OCTG or working within an oilfield service or pipe yard environment is strongly preferred.

We are looking for a dependable, safety-focused individual who takes pride in careful material handling, works well with others and understands the importance of accurately managing customer-owned product.

Key Responsibilities

· Operate forklifts, loaders and other yard equipment to safely move and position tubular products.

· Load and unload tubing, casing, drill pipe and related materials from trucks and trailers.

· Stage material for inspection, threading, storage, shipping and customer pickup.

· Place pipe in assigned yard locations and maintain organized storage areas.

· Coordinate incoming and outgoing loads with drivers, supervisors and other Spector personnel.

· Verify pipe quantities and assist with tracking material movements within the yard.

· Handle customer-owned material carefully to minimize the risk of damage during loading,



unloading and storage.

· Perform routine pre-use inspections of equipment and report maintenance or safety concerns.

· Maintain clear travel lanes, work areas and pipe storage locations.

· Follow company safety policies, work instructions and safe material-handling procedures.

· Assist with general yard and operational duties as required.

· Work cooperatively with other departments to support daily production and customer requirements.

Qualifications Required

· Previous experience operating a forklift, loader or similar material-handling equipment.

· Experience handling tubing, casing, drill pipe or other OCTG products is strongly preferred.

· Previous experience working in a pipe yard, oilfield service facility or industrial environment is considered an asset.

· Forklift, loader or other relevant equipment certification is considered an asset.

· Strong awareness of safe lifting, loading and material-handling practices.

· Ability to accurately identify, count and organize customer material.

· Good communication skills when coordinating with truck drivers, coworkers and supervisors.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining an organized work area.

· Dependable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team.

· Valid Class 5 driver’s license with reliable transportation is considered an asset.

Physical Requirements





· Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and cold.

· Must be able to stand, walk, bend, climb and perform physical duties throughout the workday.

· Must be comfortable working around heavy equipment, trucks and tubular products.

· Must be able to work safely in an active industrial pipe yard environment.
