Experienced General Manager required for VW Chatham:

The Job: VW Chatham is seeking an experienced, hands-on General Manager capable of leading the complete Volkswagen Chatham operation. The preferred candidate will demonstrate strong financial and commercial judgment, with proven experience in variable and fixed operations, manufacturer standards, CSI, employee development, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the performance of the dealership's new and used vehicle operations
- Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize profitability and sales volume
- Appraise trade-ins and manage wholesale relationships
- Ensure compliance with all dealership policies and state/federal regulations
- Train, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve performance goals
- Monitor market trends and adjust pricing strategies accordingly
- Desk deals, support closing, and maintain strong CRM discipline
- Oversee appraisals, sourcing, pricing, and reconditioning
- Manage inventory mix, turn rates, merchandising, and online listings
- Monitor KPIs: units sold, gross profit, turn, lead conversion, and CSI
- Partner with Management Team, F&I;, Service, and Marketing to improve overall performance
- Ensure compliance with ON regulations, disclosures, safety and dealership policies

Qualifications:





- 5 years of automotive sales experience; management experience required.
- Robust knowledge of appraisals, market-based pricing, and reconditioning.
- Experience with PBS software and inventory tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and clean abstract.

Pay: $150,000.00-$240,000.00 per year
