Job Specification

We are looking to add to our growing team a full-time Installation Technician. In this position, you would be heading to one of our downtown clients each day, rather than reporting to our Mississauga head office. Public transport is an acceptable means of getitng to work. Our ideal candidate must be team-oriented with advanced technical knowledge and experience with installation, testing, troubleshooting, and servicing installed audio visual systems and components.

Responsibilities

- Installing audio visual systems conforming to standards set by AVT and industry leaders – including pulling wire, installing projectors, ceiling mounts, video conferencing equipment, displays, video walls, wiring/termination of low-voltage cabling (including soldering), cable cubbies, and more!
- Following system CAD and schematics and keeping record of as-built changes throughout installation.
- Building,



testing, configuring, and diagnosing system racks.
- Working with the client and other trades onsite performing site visits to determine challenges and reporting back to the Project Management team.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues with testing equipment such as multimeters, etc.
- Ability to program various DSP and control programs to an intermediate level.

Requirements

- Five or more years experience with audio visual equipment installations, wire pulling and terminations, CAT6 and rigging.
- Experience with Cisco, Crestron, Extron, Poly, DSP, and network infrastructure.
- Post-secondary education from a recognized institution in Electronics Engineering, Broadcast, Telecom or other AV industry-related programs.
- Certifications with Avixa and CTS are a plus.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Good physical health without issue to lifting up to 50 lbs
