Who We Are

Accident Support Services International (ASSI) is the official collision reporting centre partner for Police Services across Canada. Since 1994, we have been providing professional collision management services in collaboration with Police, insurance companies, and private enterprise.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a reliable, professional, and customer‑focused Full‑Time Customer Service Representative to join our team at the Edmonton North Collision Reporting Centre, located at 15750 116 Ave NW.

This position is primarily suited for candidates available to work evenings and weekends. The role requires 40 hours per week with full, unrestricted availability, as shifts are scheduled across all hours of operation:

- Monday to Saturday: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Sunday: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Successful candidates must be flexible and able to work any shift within these hours, with a strong emphasis on evening and weekend availability, and be willing to pick up additional shifts as needed.

This is a hands‑on, active role. You will be assisting members of the public involved in motor vehicle collisions, preparing collision reports, and guiding drivers through the initial steps of the insurance process. You will also be responsible for photographing damaged vehicles—which requires going outdoors in all weather conditions. In addition, you will spend extended periods on your feet, supporting individuals at the self‑assisted kiosks.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys working directly with the public, and can bring calm and compassion to individuals experiencing stressful situations.

- Explain driver responsibilities regarding collision reporting for Police and insurance
- Verify required documents (driver’s licence, ownership,

insurance)
- Interview drivers to collect details of the collision
- Accurately enter information into customized software to create collision reports for Police, insurance, and the Government of Alberta
- Retrieve, file, and organize reports as needed
- Photograph vehicle damage outdoors in all weather conditions, and upload images to the report
- Scan documents into digital filing systems
- Assist drivers with the first steps of reporting to their insurance company
- Assist customers at the self‑service kiosks, often while standing for extended periods
- Perform other duties as assigned

You Would Be a Great Fit If You Have:

- Reliable transportation to and from work
- A strong understanding of the rules of the road, and a valid driver’s licence
- Fully open availability with no scheduling restrictions
- Three years of customer service or retail experience (data entry experience is an asset)
- The ability to pass a criminal background check and any required additional screening
- Excellent keyboarding, customer service, and communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong accuracy in data entry
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Capacity to manage shifting priorities in a fast‑paced, sometimes high‑pressure environment
- Strong emotional intelligence with the ability to support individuals coping with stressful situations

Working Conditions

- Ability to work at a computer for long periods
- Busy, open‑concept office environment with frequent interruptions
- Required to stand for extended periods during shifts
- Required to photograph damaged vehicles outdoors in ALL weather conditions (snow, rain, heat, cold, etc.)
- Requires solid attention to detail and consistent accuracy
