About the Chance

A national retail and e-commerce organization is looking for an experienced AI Product Information Management (PIM) Consultant to help shape an AI-enabled approach to product catalog enrichment. You’ll assess current processes and identify how AI and Generative AI can improve the way product titles, descriptions, attributes, keywords, categories, and metadata are created and standardized.

Working closely with merchandising, e-commerce, business, and technology stakeholders, you’ll help define a practical solution that balances automation with strong governance and human oversight. Your recommendations will support faster product onboarding, improved data quality, and a scalable approach for managing a large and growing catalog.

Your Responsibilities

- You’ll assess existing product information, catalog processes, taxonomy, and opportunities for AI-driven automation.
- Evaluate AI, PIM,



and supporting technology options and recommend a practical solution architecture.
- Design approaches for AI and LLM-enabled product content generation, normalization, and brand consistency.
- Develop human-in-the-loop review, approval, governance, and quality-control workflows.
- Advise on integrations with e-commerce, merchandising, ERP/POS, and related technology environments.
- Define pilot requirements, success criteria, implementation roadmaps, and strategies for scaling to production.

Skills and Qualifications

- 5+ years of relevant experience advising on or implementing PIM, e-commerce, product catalog, or digital commerce solutions.
- Hands-on experience applying AI, Generative AI, or LLMs to product information, content generation, or catalog enrichment.
- Strong knowledge of product taxonomy, categorization, attributes, metadata, data normalization, and large-scale SKU enrichment.
- Experience with automated product-content workflows, human review processes, AI governance, and quality control.
- Experience evaluating AI/PIM platforms and translating business requirements into implementation recommendations.
- Experience with Magento/Adobe Commerce or similar platforms, PIM integrations, ERP/POS environments, or retail technology is an asset.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills across business and technical teams.
- Retail industry experience is preferred
