We are seeking a Security Guard to become an integral part of our team. The selected individual will patrol and secure assigned premises as well as identify risks to staff and patrons.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
- Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
- Check bags and 2 IDs upon entry
- Communicate with the team on a regular basis
- Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
- Promote company material when required
- Apprehend or expel patrons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
- Report any facility issues
- Call emergency personnel for high risk situations
- Report back to the department manager
- Assist other departments when needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid BC Security License
- OFA 1 would be an asset (not required)
- Must be fluent in English to talk to patrons
- Familiarity with security equipment
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Solid attention to detail
- Helping other departments when in need
