The Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph in Canada are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to fill a position vacancy in our Peterborough Residence as a:

DIETARY AIDE

Casual Position

Rate $24.82/hr

Position Summary: Receiving direction from the Support Services Supervisor and Cook, our Dietary Aides have responsibility for assisting with the preparation and serving of high quality, nutritious and delicious meals. This includes preparing trays, dishwashing, and equipment operation. We operate in a team environment and it is key that the incumbent be capable of helping in all areas of the kitchen to ensure the cleanliness and safety of the food storage and serving areas.

Qualifications: Minimum one year experience working as a Dietary Aide. Experience with working in a Healthcare facility would be an asset, as well as an understanding of food textures and common dietary restrictions. Work can involve standing, heavy lifting and repetitive movements.



Availability to work weekends is a requirement for this role as well as a willingness and availability to work flexible hours as required to meet operational needs.

A current Food Handlers Certificate is required. Secondary/High School Diploma preferred.

We also require a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check.
