About the Position
EMM Labs and Meitner Audio are seeking a hands-on, motivated Electronics Production Technician / Production Assistant to join our production team in Calgary.
This is a practical, hands-on role supporting the manufacturing and assembly of our high-end audio products. The successful candidate will assist with cable building, electronic and mechanical assembly, early-stage unit production, component handling, and general production and warehouse responsibilities.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with electronics, is comfortable working with their hands, and takes pride in producing careful, accurate work. This position requires someone who can work effectively as part of a team while also independently managing their responsibilities and workload.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the assembly and production of EMM Labs and Meitner Audio products
- Build and assemble cables, wiring harnesses, and related electronic assemblies
- Support the production team with early-stage assembly and preparation of units
- Identify and work with electronic components, PCBs, connectors, wiring, and other production materials
- Perform basic mechanical assembly using hand and power tools
- Follow assembly procedures, drawings, work instructions, and production documentation
- Inspect completed work for accuracy and workmanship
- Organize components, parts, tools, and production materials
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production and warehouse environment
- Assist with general warehouse duties, including garbage and recycling removal
- Move, organize, and handle products and materials weighing up to 50 lbs
- Manage assigned responsibilities independently and ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule
- Identify problems, communicate production issues, and take initiative when something requires attention
- Assist other members of the production team as required
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have:
- Diploma, certificate, or relevant experience as an Electrical Engineering Technician, Electronics Engineering Technician, Electronics Technician, or similar technical field
- Good understanding of electronic components and basic electronics
- Solid mechanical aptitude and ability to work confidently with your hands
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions, diagrams, drawings, and assembly documentation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently without requiring constant supervision
- Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and follow them through to completion
- Ability to work collaboratively within a small production team
- Ability to safely lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a hands-on production environment
Assets
The following experience would be considered an asset:
- Experience with PADS PCB design software
- PCB assembly or electronics manufacturing experience
- Cable and wiring harness assembly experience
- Soldering experience
- Experience reading schematics or PCB documentation
- Experience working in electronics, audio equipment, manufacturing, or a technical production environment
- Familiarity with electronic test equipment and basic troubleshooting

We are looking for someone who wants to develop their skills in electronics manufacturing while contributing directly to the production of sophisticated, Canadian-made audio equipment.
Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
