We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Truck Driver - Class 1 to join our transportation team. Duties
- Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks to transport freight over long or short distances, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and other critical systems
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
- Maintain accurate documentation for each trip, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and freight manifests
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients,
and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit
- Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep trucks in optimal condition
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts to load or unload freight safely and efficiently
Experience
- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with freight transportation or logistics companies
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to heavy vehicle operation and freight handling
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting on trucks and related equipment
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and inspection procedures
