Head Chef – Britannia Brewing Steveston

Britannia Brewing Steveston is looking for a passionate, creative, and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team.

We take pride in delivering high-quality bistro fare made with fresh, local ingredients, paired with our own craft-brewed beer. We’re looking for a strong kitchen leader who can maintain high standards while creating a positive, organized, and team-focused environment.

Position Details

What You’ll Do

- Lead and manage the kitchen team on a daily basis
- Maintain consistently high standards for food quality, presentation, and execution
- Help develop and evolve our menu with creative, seasonal ideas
- Manage food preparation, ordering, inventory, and portion control
- Maintain food cost and minimize waste
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are followed
- Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff
- Work closely with the management team to ensure smooth restaurant operations
- Lead by example and create a positive and professional kitchen culture

What We’re Looking For

- Previous Sous Chef, Kitchen lead or Chef experience
- Proven ability to lead and develop a kitchen team
- Passion for quality food and presentation
- Strong understanding of food costs, ordering, and inventory
- Creativity and willingness to contribute current ideas
- Excellent organization and time-management skills
- Reliable, responsible, and professional work ethic
- Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and leadership skills
