Marketing Coordinator

This is a part time, paid position. This role is best-suited for an individual with a desire to work in marketing in a sports-related setting. Part-time Marketing Coordinators report to the Director of Marketing, and will carry out tasks such as putting up posters, delivering tickets, setting up and running promotional events and fundraisers, and running contests/giveaways for the team. The successful candidate will work mainly on SFU Burnaby Campus, but may also be required to travel to other SFU Campuses and within the City of Burnaby. The SFU Men’s Hockey team aims to continue its growth in attendance at home games at the Bill Copeland Sports Centre, a 2,000 seat facility in Burnaby.

The successful candidate should:
– have excellent written and communication skills
– have a high attention to detail
– be comfortable approaching students & faculty to discuss the hockey team
– be interested in a career in sports
