About the Role

We are looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Shipping Specialist to manage our domestic and international shipping operations. This role is responsible for ensuring full compliance with customs regulations, maintaining accurate HS code classifications, and staying ahead of evolving tariff and trade rules that affect cross-border shipments. The ideal candidate brings hands-on logistics experience, strong attention to detail, and the confidence to advise the business on shipping, customs, and duty-related matters.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with carriers, suppliers, and logistics partners
- Prepare and verify shipping and customs documentation
- Maintain accurate HS code classifications for products
- Monitor changes to tariffs, duties, and trade regulations, and communicate business impacts to internal stakeholders
- Liaise with customs brokers to ensure smooth and timely customs clearance
- Resolve shipping delays, customs issues, and freight claims
- Track shipments and keep internal stakeholders updated on status
- Identify opportunities to reduce freight, duty, and landed costs




- Ensure ongoing compliance with Canadian, U.S., and international shipping regulations

Qualifications

- 3+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, or import/export
- Solid understanding of HS codes, customs processes, and tariff classifications
- Experience working with customs brokers and freight forwarders
- Solid knowledge of Canada–U.S. cross-border shipping requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Excel and shipping/logistics systems
