J.Y.'s Indoor Golf is looking for a friendly, outgoing, and customer-service-oriented Host/Hostess to join our team at our Port Moody and Port Coquitlam locations.
This is a relaxed customer service position in a fun indoor golf environment. Your main responsibility is to make sure every customer feels welcomed and has a great experience at our facility.
What You'll Do
- Greet customers and provide a friendly, welcoming experience
- Check customers in and out for their bookings
- Process payments and sell merchandise
- Answer phone calls and respond to customer messages
- Manage bookings and rentals
- Assist customers with questions about our golf simulator systems
- Start and perform basic troubleshooting of our golf and gaming software
- Assist customers with our multisport simulator systems
- Keep the facility clean, organized, and presentable
- Complete light cleaning and tidying when required
No Golf Experience Required!
Knowledge of golf is definitely a bonus, but it is not required. We will provide training on how to operate and troubleshoot our golf simulator and multisport systems.
You don't need to be a golfer—you just need to be friendly, dependable, comfortable with computers, and willing to learn.
Great Position for Students
This position can be a great fit for college or university students.
The facility can have quieter periods between customers. Once your customer service and facility responsibilities are taken care of,
there may be opportunities to study or complete schoolwork during downtime.
The position involves minimal physical work, with the primary focus being providing excellent customer service and maintaining a welcoming environment.
Two Locations
We operate locations in:
Port Moody, BC
Port Coquitlam, BC
Preference will be given to applicants who are available to work at both locations, although applicants who can work at only one location are still welcome to apply.
What We're Looking For
- Must be 19 years of age or older
- Friendly, positive, and approachable personality
- Strong customer service skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable answering phones and communicating with customers
- Comfortable using computers and learning new software
- Able to work independently
- Willing to perform light cleaning and facility upkeep
- Golf knowledge is an asset, but not required
- Availability to work at both locations is an asset
Compensation
$18.25 per hour + tips
