What You’ll Do Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, you'll support our monthly accounting cycle and export documentation process, including:

- Preparing import/export documents (commercial invoices, bills of lading/waybills, CUSMA certifications of origin, and other certificates) - Processing accounts receivable (sales invoicing) and accounts payable (freight invoice posting)



- Completing monthly bank and credit card reconciliations - Posting journal entries and preparing accounting reports - Supporting day-to-day and month-end accounting activities - Providing occasional reception relief and courier quotes for the sales team - Tracking and updating assigned tasks using Trello What You Bring - 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience - Some post-secondary education in accounting (an asset) - Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills - Familiarity with an ERP system such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Navision (an asset) - Familiarity with CUSMA (Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement) rules of origin and certification requirements (an asset) - Experience with task/project management tools such as Trello (an asset) - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Exceptional accuracy, organization, and attention to detail - A proactive, self-starting attitude with robust follow-up skills - The ability to prioritize, multi-task, and stay calm under deadline pressure What We Offer - Permanent, full-time position with a stable, growing company - A collaborative team environment where your contributions matter - Opportunity to develop accounting and international trade/export skills Schedule: Standard business hours- 8 AM - 4:30 PM Akhurst is an equal opportunity employer.
