Role Description The Accounting Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Georgetown, ON. This position oversees the integrity of financial records, ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintains effective internal controls across multiple business divisions. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing the month-end and year-end close processes, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and analyzing financial performance to support strategic decision-making.

The Accounting

Controller will supervise accounting staff, coordinate audits and compliance activities,



and develop policies and procedures to improve efficiency and risk management. The role also involves partnering with operations and leadership to forecast, budget, and monitor cash flow and capital investments.

Qualifications

- Strong Business Control and internal control skills, with experience designing and maintaining financial policies and procedures.
- Excellent Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Proficiency in preparing and reviewing Financial Statements and Financial Reporting for multiple business units.
- Solid Finance knowledge, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and capital investment analysis.
- Qualified accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) or progress toward such designation is preferred.
- Several years of experience in controllership, accounting management, or a senior finance role, ideally in multi-entity or multi-industry environments.
- Advanced skills in accounting software and ERP systems, along with strong Excel and data analysis capabilities.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines while managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and guide accounting staff.
