Nortech is seeking API Inspectors to support a Turnaround project Sept 1 for approximately 6 weeks in Fort MacMurray. Candidates can either be local to Edmonton or can be from other geographic regions with camp accommodations being provided for duration of project WORKING FOR NORTECH: Nortech is a company that is currently growing rapidly within the Western Canadian market. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment - Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection - Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations - Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results - Organize and report test results - Perform specialized inspections - May instruct and supervise others - Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:




- High School Diploma or equivalent - API - Technical background in NDT methods and procedures - Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections - Knowledge of NDT equipment OTHER SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: Possess team leadership, management and business administration capabilities and with very good negotiation and communication skills. The employee will also run, maneuver, navigate, or drive vehicles or mechanized equipment.

COMPENSATION: Compensation is dependent on skillsets and certifications held.
