Ericsson seeks a Principal Developer to lead technical strategy and implementation for RAN software portability across heterogeneous commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) platforms. You will join the RAN Performance Systems & Dimensioning team, driving the evolution of software-based RAN solutions toward portable platforms. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic platform enablement, requiring strong system-level thinking to optimize scalable RAN node solutions across diverse hardware ecosystems (Intel, ARM, AMD, RISC-V).

Provide technical leadership in enabling and optimizing RAN software across heterogeneous COTS platforms Drive cross-domain portability guardrails and establish architectural alignments Develop and continuously enhance portability standards and reusable platform assets Ensure COTS platform readiness for multi-workload deployments supporting shared infrastructure scenarios Mentor engineering teams in cross-platform development practices and hardware ecosystem adaptation Provide engineering-driven perspectives on platform impacts and onboarding implications Represent RAN portability in technical forums, architecture reviews, and strategic planning Collaborate with academic and research institutions on applied research relevant to RAN portability Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent Strong background in communications theory, digital signal processing, and COTS architecture Proven experience in Agile development environments Demonstrated ability to conduct platform benchmarking, performance profiling, and end-to-end system validation Experience developing and establishing technical standards, architectural frameworks,
