Marsh People and Investments is seeking a Canada Health and Benefits Leader to lead and grow our Health and Benefits consulting business across Canada. This role combines strategic leadership, commercial accountability, client leadership and talent development to help shape the future of the business and deliver outstanding results for clients.

What can you expect?

- An opportunity to lead the Canada Health and Benefits business with overall accountability for strategy, growth, client impact and financial performance
- You will report to the CEO, Marsh and President, Marsh People and Investments, Canada with a dotted line to the Global Health and Benefits Practice Leader and Marsh Risk Canada President, and collaborate with the leadership team, Office Leaders, Practice Leaders, and Global Business Solutions colleagues to accomplish objectives
- A visible leadership role, shaping the long-term direction of the practice in alignment with national and global priorities
- The chance to lead senior client relationships and large, complex engagements while partnering across Marsh to bring the best of the firm to clients
- Responsibility for delivering profitable growth by defining and driving the Health and Benefits strategy and initiatives across Canada
- Accountability for achieving ongoing revenue, NOI and new business goals.
- Active management of the financial drivers and resources to ensure P&L; goals are met and/or exceeded

We will count on you to:

- Lead the Canada Health and Benefits business with full P&L; accountability, including budgeting, staffing, resource allocation and execution against business goals




- Define and implement the long-term business strategy for the market in alignment with national and global strategies
- Actively manage unit finances and performance drivers to contribute to the financial success of the business and the broader market
- Lead key client engagements and large, complex projects, directing teams and developing strategic solutions that address client needs and issues
- Manage overall service delivery, resolving unique and difficult issues related to client deliverables and maintaining high-quality outcomes
- Generate revenue through new client acquisition, cross-selling to current clients and extension of existing client engagements
- Build and maintain strong market relationships with financial executives, HR leaders, C-suite stakeholders and other members of the business community
- Support and drive national sales efforts and enhance market presence through thought leadership, articles, case studies, marketing materials and industry speaking opportunities
- Leverage Marsh's scale, capabilities and reputation to negotiate competitive rates and coverage options from carriers and vendors
- Hire, lead, develop and evaluate a team of professionals, providing explicit expectations, performance feedback and career development opportunities
- Drive engagement and accountability through frequent communication, clear direction and a strong leadership cadence
- Contribute to broader business initiatives and help develop new intellectual capital that advances the Health and Benefits practice
- Lead with passion and empathy to build colleague engagement and foster an environment where colleagues know how much they are valued
- Promote a culture of growth and foster a diverse and inclusive environment

What you need to have:

- A bachelor’s degree in applied science, mathematics, economics, actuarial science, or other business-related areas
- At least 15 years of health and benefits, strong market/industry profile, with a thorough understanding of the needs of health and benefits knowledge of large institutions
- Applicable Life licensing, or equivalent, is required
- Proven senior leadership experience, leading diverse teams and delivering change
- Effective communication and integration within client organizations and internal practices
- English fluency,



and French language proficiency preferred
- Proven communication ability internally and externally with verbal, written and other media with a proven ability to influence
- Excellent organization, prioritization, and time management skills
