Classroom Supervisor Grande Prairie & District Catholic Schools covers a geographical area that includes the regional communities of Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge, Sexsmith, and Spirit River. We are a team of 600 staff who provide quality teaching and learning experiences for approximately 5,400 students.

Position Overview This is a casual day-to-day assignment for one day emergent situations. The ideal candidate will have some experience in childcare or education. Duties - Present teacher-prepared lessons and supervise students under the direction of the school Principal.

- Seek advice of the school Principal prior to engaging in disciplinary action.
- Adhere to FOIPP regulations with respect to school and student privacy.




- Classroom Supervisors are required to complete a paid orientation/follow-up program consisting of training and follow-up discussions.

Classroom

Supervisors may also be asked to “shadow” a classroom teacher for a period of time.

- Classroom Supervisors will be supervised in the classroom by the Principal and possibly by District Personnel.

Qualifications - Individuals with Degrees, Diplomas, or Certificates from a recognized College or University.

- Present a clean Police Information Check and Intervention Record Check that is no older than 6 months old. Only those applicants who are short-listed for an interview will be contacted.
