We're looking for a CNC Setup Machinist to set up and run our 3-axis vertical milling centers - a hands-on setup and operating role, not a programming or tool-design position. You will load and adjust machine setups, run production jobs on vertical mills, and help keep work moving efficiently on the shop floor, all while supporting the wider production team.

What you'll be doing

Set up 3-axis vertical CNC milling centers for production jobs Load, adjust, and verify machine setups, including fixtures, workholding,



and tool offsets Operate CNC machining equipment to produce precision components to tight tolerances Monitor machining cycles and make setup adjustments to maintain quality Troubleshoot setup and production-related issues as they come up Perform preventive maintenance on machine-shop equipment Support the shop floor with hands-on setup guidance Ensure finished parts meet quality and performance requirements Machines & setups 3-axis vertical mill tooling set-ups Okuma and Mazak machine brands are a bonus, not mandatory 5-axis experience is a bonus, not required Machine-shop and tooling equipment Shop highlights Customized tooling projects rather than repetitive production work Precision molds, patterns, fixtures, prototypes, and production tooling Hands-on setup and machining work across a range of jobs 4-day workweek available for weekday shifts Shift premiums available for off-shifts Paid lunch and coffee breaks Comprehensive training and career advancement opportunities Employee recognition and continuous-improvement rewards What we're looking for Required Proficiency at 3-axis vertical mill tooling set-ups Experience setting up and operating CNC milling centers Strong machining skills Ability to troubleshoot setup and production issues Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings Strong mechanical aptitude Good communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Familiarity with Okuma and Mazak machine brands (a bonus, not mandatory) 5-axis machining experience (a bonus, not required) General machine-shop experience Why you'll like working here If you enjoy hands-on machine work,
