Role Description

Northly Group is looking for a Video Producer / Content Creator Intern who is creative, outgoing, comfortable on camera, and passionate about discovering interesting things happening around their city.

This is a hands-on content creation role focused primarily on ideation, filming, and on-camera hosting.

You will help identify interesting restaurants, events, experiences, attractions, businesses, hidden gems, and things to do around the city, then turn those ideas into engaging short-form videos for Northly Group’s social media network.

A major part of the role will involve being an on-camera host. You will visit different locations around the city, experience them firsthand, and create social-first videos showcasing what makes each location worth checking out.





You will also help produce branded content for Northly Group’s advertising partners, including visiting businesses, restaurants, events, activations, and other locations to create content as part of paid client campaigns.

Responsibilities

- Research and pitch restaurants, events, experiences, businesses, hidden gems, and trending things to do around the city
- Develop short-form video concepts, hooks, talking points, and creative angles
- Act as an on-camera host and personality for Northly Group content
- Travel to different locations around the city to film content
- Shoot social-first content using a smartphone or camera
- Create lifestyle, food, entertainment, local discovery, and experience-focused videos
- Produce branded content for Northly Group clients and advertising partners
- Work with the content and production teams to bring creative concepts to life
- Follow social media trends and identify formats that can be adapted for Northly Group’s audiences
- Capture B-roll, interviews, reactions, and additional footage when required
- Occasionally assist with basic editing or preparing footage for the editing team

Qualifications

- Must be comfortable and confident appearing on camera
- Previous experience creating social media content, UGC, short-form videos, or personal content is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and modern short-form content formats
- Strong understanding of social media trends, hooks,



storytelling, pacing, and internet culture
- Natural communication skills and the ability to speak clearly and confidently on camera
- Creative mindset with the ability to consistently come up with interesting content ideas and angles
- Interest in exploring restaurants, events, entertainment, experiences, local businesses, and things happening around the city
- Comfortable travelling to different locations throughout the city for shoots
- Basic understanding of filming content using a smartphone or camera
- Basic video editing experience using CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar software is considered an asset
- Experience creating UGC or branded content for businesses is considered a strong asset
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating with Northly Group’s content, production, and partnerships teams
- A portfolio, social media account, or examples of previous on-camera or content creation work are strongly encouraged

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys creating content and exploring their city.

You might already be the person in your friend group who is constantly finding recent restaurants, events, activities, or hidden gems. You understand what makes someone stop scrolling, you are comfortable putting yourself in front of the camera, and you can turn a simple experience into a video people want to watch.

You do not need years of professional production experience. We care more about creativity, personality, confidence on camera, understanding social media, and your ability to create engaging content.

Work Style

This is a hybrid / field-based internship. Some ideation, research, planning, and coordination can be completed remotely, but the role requires regularly travelling to different locations throughout the city for content shoots.
