Role Summary:
A senior hybrid engineer who combines strong front-end development expertise with solid UX sensibility. This role focuses on building and maintaining scalable design systems and production applications, delivering high-quality, accessible, and performant user experiences. They serve as a key technical contributor and design advocate, collaborating closely with designers and engineers while incorporating AI-enhanced workflows.
Key Qualifications:
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in front-end engineering and building complex software applications (web, mobile web, or cross-platform).
- Strong UX understanding with proven ability to implement design systems and contribute to UX decisions and quality.
- Design Systems experience: Hands-on expertise building or scaling component libraries, design tokens, documentation, and governance (Figma + code). Proficiency with React/Angular, TypeScript, Storybook, accessibility (WCAG), and theming.
- AI familiarity:
Experience integrating AI tools into design and development processes (e.g., design-to-code automation, AI-assisted components, or intelligent prototyping).
- Strong skills in contemporary front-end stack (React/Angular, TypeScript, CSS architecture, testing, and performance optimization).
- Track record shipping production applications and collaborating cross-functionally.
Typical Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain design system components, patterns, and infrastructure.
- Implement complex front-end features with a strong focus on UX excellence and consistency.
- Support AI initiatives to boost designer and developer productivity.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on hybrid UX-engineering best practices.
- Ensure high standards for code quality, accessibility, performance, and design-system adherence.
- Partner with design, product, and engineering teams on roadmap delivery.
