Currently, we are seeking full-time Electrical Engineer to join our team of Elevator at Garaventa Lift at Surrey, BC.
This is 100% in office position. We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Electrical Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, testing,
and optimizing electrical systems and controls for Wheelchair Stair lifts/ elevator products, ensuring compliance with industry codes and customer specifications.
Design and develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control systems for elevator products Collaborate with mechanical engineers and software developers to integrate electrical components into complete systems Select and specify electrical components (motors, drives, sensors, PLCs, etc.) Conduct risk assessments and ensure designs meet CSA, ASME, and other applicable standards Support prototype development, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems Prepare documentation for manufacturing, installation, and service teams Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and product lifecycle management Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent Min of 2 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in elevator or industrial automation sectors Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar design tools Familiarity with PLC programming and elevator control logic Eng. designation in British Columbia is an asset
