Role Description The Electronics Engineer will work on-site in Halifax, NS in a full-time capacity, contributing to the design, development, and testing of electronic systems for intelligent satellites and edge compute platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and validating circuits, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electronics with mechanical and software systems, and performing detailed analysis to ensure reliability in space environments. The role involves creating schematics and layouts, selecting components, overseeing prototype assembly,



and conducting lab and field testing to verify performance against mission requirements.

The Electronics

Engineer will also support troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous improvement of existing designs, while collaborating on new concepts that enhance Galaxia’s EO and AI/ML capabilities in orbit.

Qualifications

- Solid foundation in Electronic Engineering and Electrical Engineering, with the ability to apply core principles to space-based systems.
- Proficiency in Circuit Design and practical Electronics, including schematic capture, PCB design, and component selection.
- Experience in Testing and validation of electronic hardware, including lab measurements, reliability testing, and debugging.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Familiarity with embedded systems, microcontrollers, FPGAs, or digital/analog signal processing is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of design for harsh environments (radiation, thermal, vibration) and relevant standards for aerospace or high-reliability systems is an asset.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation, work with CAD/EDA tools, and collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and readiness to work on-site in a dynamic, innovation-driven environment.
