The Senior

Estimator is responsible for the accurate, timely preparation of multiple construction estimates and budgets of varying complexity and size for our clients. This position plays a key role in helping the team maintain its leading reputation in the industry and in continuing its rapid growth.

The Senior

Estimator estimates conceptual design-build, cost plus, lump sum and construction management projects, as well as works with the project team through to project design, tendering and vendor procurement. As a Senior Estimator with our Civil Team, you will: Review tender documents to determine the scope of work, including project milestones and constraints

- Build level 1 schedule in MS Project with resources and project milestones
- Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate data, including current and accurate information on prices from suppliers
- Establish and keep outstanding communications between subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants




- Ensure chair internal bid review meetings with EBC’s senior management. Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering; ~ Previous experience in estimating civil construction projects; ~ Experience in heavy civil pricing work such as cofferdams, shoring, road construction, bridge rehabilitation, in-water works; ~ Experience using estimating software and systems and capacity to adapt to recent estimating software; ~ Experience with TPL Estimating software would be considered an asset; ~ Estimate setup for job costing and job cost analysis of active and completed projects. ~4 weeks of annual vacation; ~ Complete group insurance program upon entry (health and dental components paid by the employer); ~ 24 hour access to a virtual doctor (telemedicine); ~ Training and development programs; ~ Employee assistance program; ~ Free coffee; ~ Active social club and health and wellness committee; ~ Compensation within the range is determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, localization, and internal equity.
