Job OverviewWe are looking for an experienced IGEL Developer / Engineer to design, configure, implement, and support enterprise endpoint solutions using IGEL OS and IGEL Universal Management Suite (UMS).

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with IGEL OS, endpoint management, VDI technologies, Citrix, VMware Horizon, and Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). The candidate will work closely with infrastructure, security, networking, and application teams to deliver secure and highly available end-user computing environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, configure, and maintain IGEL OS environments for enterprise endpoints.
- Develop and manage device profiles, configurations, policies, and applications through IGEL UMS.
- Create and maintain customized IGEL OS configurations and endpoint images.
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot IGEL thin clients and endpoint devices.
- Integrate IGEL endpoints with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, VMware Horizon, and Microsoft AVD.
- Configure authentication, certificates, networking, printers, peripherals, and security policies.
- Manage firmware upgrades, OS updates, application packages, and endpoint lifecycle activities.
- Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar scripting technologies.
- Troubleshoot endpoint, VDI, authentication, network, and application connectivity issues.
- Implement endpoint security and hardening standards.
- Monitor endpoint health and resolve incidents in collaboration with service desk and infrastructure teams.
- Participate in migration projects from traditional Windows endpoints/thin clients to IGEL OS.
- Create technical documentation, configuration standards, and operational procedures.
- Support enterprise-scale IGEL deployments and participate in solution design and architecture activities.

Required Skills & Experience




- 5+ years of experience in End User Computing (EUC), VDI, endpoint management, or infrastructure engineering.
- Hands-on experience with IGEL OS.
- Strong experience with IGEL Universal Management Suite (UMS).
- Experience managing large-scale thin-client environments.
- Strong knowledge of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
- Experience with VMware Horizon and/or Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Knowledge of Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID, LDAP, and enterprise authentication.
- Experience with DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, VPN, certificates, and network troubleshooting.
- Robust scripting skills using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Understanding of endpoint security, policies, and hardening.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with IGEL Cloud Services.
- Experience with Citrix Workspace and Citrix Gateway.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Endpoint Manager.
- Experience with Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust and endpoint security principles.
- Experience with enterprise migrations to IGEL OS.
- IGEL certifications are an asset.
- ITIL experience is an asset.
