Dawson Creek Secondary School is hiring a 0.40 FTE Learning Assistance Teacher for the Central Campus, effective immediately. This role emphasizes inclusive education practices to support diverse learners. We seek a qualified teacher who holds or is eligible for a valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate.
The ideal candidate possesses a Master’s degree, diploma, or is currently pursuing research-based practices in Inclusive Education. The successful applicant will create an inclusive classroom and engage in continuous professional development. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized learning plans
- Adapt and modify curriculum for diverse needs
- Collaborate with teaching teams for student support
- Manage classroom effectively in a multiage setting
- Engage in student-focused assessment practices Requirements:
- Valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate
- Experience in K-12 education required
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Robust literacy and numeracy skills
