Clean Harbors Fort McMurray AB is looking for a Licensed Heavy Duty Mechanic to join their safety conscious team!

The ideal candidate will be responsible for routine maintenance, inspections, and repairing of all company fleet.

11.5hours/day there is a 14 on/14 off rotation for commuters OR 7on/7off rotation for locals to Fort McMurray area. We provide turnaround (radial) travel allowance & camp provided (Ruth Lake Lodge), or COLA for locals.

Responsibilities

- Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
- Complete and follow all Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs) and Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs)
- Perform inspections, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on light-duty and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
- Perform routine and specific maintenance on company vehicles and equipment.
- Complete repair orders.
- Communicate equipment servicing needs as required with Supervisor.
- Complete and maintain warranty and maintenance documentation.
- Disassemble, inspect,



fit and replace worn or broken parts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment through regular housekeeping activities.

- Journeypersons may mentor apprentices

Qualifications

- Licensed/Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic.
- 3+ years’ experience working as a Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic.
- Previous experience working with Hydraulics is an asset.
- Previous experience working on Vacuum Trucks is an asset.
- Ability to use (J Pro) diagnostic software
- Class 5 Driver’s License required.
