Lead a team of manufacturing engineers, specialists, and technicians through the successful completion of ME projects Provide meaningful coaching, leadership, and feedback to the engineering team Lead the specification, financial justification, and implementation of new machinery, automation solutions, and strategic-level process improvements Coordinate and manage manufacturing support projects, including documentation updates, quality investigations, safety improvements and continuous improvement efforts Identify and spearhead initiatives to resolve equipment and process safety hazards, ensuring compliance with CSA standards and company safety policies Design and implement safety guards, fixtures, tools, machine modifications, and other production implements, including creating shop drawings for parts and assemblies Develop and maintain work cell, operations and routing information in ERP systems Lead machine and cell moves, commissioning, and decommissioning efforts, coordinating with contractors, maintenance teams, and production Support product launches and changes, including conducting product costing analyses and overseeing the implementation of changes in production Provide production support through machinery troubleshooting, testing,
and documentation Champion lean manufacturing initiatives and participate in Kaizen activities, topics including 5S, line balancing, waste reduction, and time studies Maintain and optimize shop floor layouts using 2D CAD software Assist maintenance and production teams with setting up preventative maintenance procedures Maintain a high level of personal project management, ensuring documentation of all project decisions, communications, and technical information, while balancing project requirements with leadership responsibilities Post‑secondary education in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Electrical or a related field. ~5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a similar role ~ Proficient in CAD software (2D and 3D) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Experience with IFS or other ERP systems is an asset. ~ Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects and deliverables ~ Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a focus on data‑driven decisions. ~ Strong technical and mechanical aptitude with in‑depth knowledge of manufacturing equipment, processes, and drawing interpretation. ~ Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and committed to delivering high‑quality results. ~ Strong affiliation with Price’s Corporate Values We welcome and encourage applications from people with disabilities.
