The Mechanical Project

Manager position is located in Kitchener, Ontario and reports directly to the Mechanical Manager. You’re a hands‑on, solutions‑oriented professional with proven experience successfully delivering mechanical projects from estimate through closeout. You’re familiar with fast‑paced industrial manufacturing environments and bring a calm and organized approach to your work.

You’re a team player that is comfortable managing schedules, budgets, subcontractor, and client expectations while keeping safety as your top priority. Proactive by nature, you anticipate issues before they arise, communicate clearly, and bring a continuous‑improvement mindset to every project. Provide overall leadership and accountability for assigned projects, including cost control, schedule adherence, quality, safety, and contractual performance

- Define and implement project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards in accordance with company policies, health and safety regulations, collective agreements, and contract specifications
- Establish and maintain excellent relationships with all stakeholders including Roberts Onsite team members, clients, consultants, trades, subcontractors, suppliers, and the community, ensuring timely and transparent communication
- Prepare and submit project estimates, including review and interpretation of changes issued to the contract for cost, schedule, labour and workforce implications
- In coordination with the estimating department and senior management, review contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with clients,



suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants
- Plan, prepare, monitor, and manage construction schedule and milestones
- Maintain oversight of work in progress, assessing for areas of risk and deficiencies, instructing the project team to address issues that arise
- Coordinate with internal purchasing team to ensure the timely availability of materials, equipment, and resources required to support field activities
- Software Proficient user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project) and Adobe Acrobat Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and Bluebeam Experience with Accubid estimating software and Jonas Management System for Construction an asset, but will train Education And Work Experience Requirements ~ Diploma or degree in Project Management, Construction Management or relevant field, or Certificate of Qualification (Coq) in Plumbing, Steamfitting, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic or similar. ~5+ years of Project Management experience in the construction industry, specifically relating to plumbing, piping systems, HVAC or similar. ~ Experience in the industrial or automotive sector an asset. ~ Paid vacation Dental, health and vision benefits package A team that encourages and supports professional development A large company with the culture of a small company – a small management team and a horizontal organizational structure encourage involvement from all team members Annual employee survey response showed 96% positive feedback about our working setting Roberts Onsite is one of Ontario’s largest multi-trade contractors providing high-quality construction services, and turn‑key solutions for industrial, commercial, and institutional clients across Southern Ontario. The expected salary range for this role is between $100,000 - $140,000 CAD per year.
