Role Description The Mental Wellness Therapist will provide high-quality, evidence-based counseling to clients through secure remote sessions. Day-to-day work includes conducting intake assessments, developing treatment plans, facilitating individual and group sessions, and documenting clinical notes in accordance with professional standards. The therapist will address a range of concerns, such as anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues, workplace challenges, trauma, and sleep difficulties, while collaborating with the wider clinical team as needed.
The role involves using digital tools and platform resources to support client engagement, monitor progress, and maintain continuity of care. This is a part time,
remote position that offers flexibility while requiring consistent availability for scheduled sessions and occasional team meetings.
Qualifications
- Relevant professional license or certification to practice mental health counseling or psychotherapy (e.g., LMHC, LCSW, LPC, Psychologist) in applicable jurisdiction.
- Advanced degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related mental health field.
- Experience providing therapy for common mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship and workplace issues.
- Strong skills in clinical assessment, treatment planning, and use of evidence-based therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, mindfulness-based approaches, solution-focused therapy).
- Ability to maintain detailed, accurate, and confidential clinical documentation in digital systems.
- Comfort working in a fully remote environment, with proficiency in telehealth platforms and basic digital tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an empathetic, client-centered, and culturally responsive approach.
- Experience working with diverse populations across age groups, backgrounds, and identities; multilingual abilities are an advantage.
- Strong professional ethics, commitment to continuous learning, and openness to supervision, training, and collaborative care.
- Prior experience in online therapy, employee assistance programs, or university counseling centers is beneficial.
