Compensation

At S&C;, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, with a commitment to transparency in our pay practices. The hourly pay range for this position is $22.70 - $36.40. Individual pay within this range is determined by several compensable factors, including the year of study, type of academic program, and the number of prior co-op work terms completed.

Join Our Team as a MES Proposal Analyst (Co-op)!

The Engineering Proposal Analyst (Co-op) will primarily work on updating specification documents for medium voltage metal-enclosed switchgear for S&C;’s power utility customers in Canada and US. This is a great opportunity to learn from experienced engineers who will provide all the necessary training to be successful during your work term.

Responsibilities

- Develop basic electrical & mechanical design knowledge of metal-enclosed switchgear.
- Review, with the support of experienced team members, power utility conditions of service documents for assigned territories to understand their individual service entrance requirements.
- Prepare summary specification documents for the utilities & major customers which S&C; serves.
- Assist with reviewing and preparing proposal documents for medium voltage metal-enclosed switchgear.
- Job-shadow engineering team members in multiple departments to gain an overview of the work process flow.




- Perform additional duties to assist the engineering team as needed.

Qualifications

- Currently enrolled in a registered post-secondary co-op program in Electrical Engineering.
- Available for a 12 Month Co-op Work Term beginning in Winter 2027.
- Knowledge of the basics of power system protection & control.
- Self-starter with excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well within a team environment.
- Fast-learner with an aptitude for learning company-specific software.
- Proficient with Microsoft software, specifically Excel, Word and MS Project.

Physical Effort: Normal or frequent minor physical effort required for the day-to-day activity in the workplace. May involve standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs and lifting/moving/using objects or equipment up to 20lbs.

Work Environment:

Acceptable working environment with minor or almost no disagreeable or challenging working conditions as part of everyday expected levels (all jobs will occasionally experience undesirable or disagreeable events).
