We are looking for an experienced and reliable Part-Time Optical Edger / Lab Technician to join our team at a busy and well-established optometry clinic and optical store in Coquitlam.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately edge and fit prescription lenses into frames
- Perform lens measurements, verification, and quality control
- Mount and adjust lenses according to prescription and frame specifications
- Make minor frame adjustments and repairs
- Ensure all completed eyewear meets quality standards
- Maintain and organize lab equipment and supplies
- Work closely with optician and the optical team to ensure timely completion of orders
Qualifications:
- Previous optical edging/lab experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Optical/eyewear industry experience is preferred
Position: Part-Time
Location: Coquitlam, BC
Schedule: Versatile; approximately 4 hours per week to begin
Compensation: based on experience
