Paymath

Canada

About the job

- Location: Province of Ontario, Canada. FULLY REMOTE.
- Structure: 100% commission-based, as an independent consultant.
- Prior payments industry experience is required for this role.

About Paymath

Paymath is an independent payments brokerage. We analyze what a merchant is actually paying, run the account against 30+ payment technologies and providers, and build the setup that genuinely fits it — typically cutting processing costs by 37%, often with better hardware, software and support than they had before.

We have saved more than $50M for over 1,000 companies, from independent operators to national brands.

We are looking for experienced payments professionals to sell under our infrastructure as Resellers — owning the full cycle, at a higher commission rate, on accounts they keep. The people who ramp fastest here already have relationships to draw on.

Who this is for

You have sold merchant services before. You know what a statement looks like, where the margin actually sits, and how much of your past effort ended up building somebody else’s portfolio. You may be:

- An ISO or agent rep who wants to keep more of what they write
- A current or former processor or acquirer sales rep
- A POS or ISV salesperson attaching payments who wants the payments side of it
- An independent agent carrying a book, looking for a better home for recent business
- Someone who has stepped away from the industry but still has the relationships

If you know the space and you know business owners, the rest is straightforward.

What is different here

- Brokerage model — you are not forcing one processor’s price sheet onto every merchant. You get to actually solve the account.
- Higher commission than our Referral track, because you are doing the work

- Recurring residual for as long as the merchant processes — income that stacks with every account instead of resetting
- You build your own portfolio and keep your clients
- Our infrastructure without building it: provider relationships, underwriting, deployment, support and back office
- Remote work, full autonomy, no cap on earnings

What you own, what we handle

You source your own opportunities — network, referral relationships or outbound — and run discovery, statement analysis, presenting, negotiating and closing. We handle provider relationships and pricing across multiple payment solutions, underwriting, deployment, merchant training, ongoing support, and monthly residual payments.

What you bring

- Prior experience in the payments industry — this track is not an entry point
- An existing network of business owners; the fastest starts come from people who already have relationships to draw on
- The ability to read a merchant statement and build a credible savings case
- Excellent communication, presentation and closing skills, and a sense of timing
- Ability to sign contracts generating $1,000 to $100,000 in annual revenue, with sales cycles of 1 to 12 months
- Comfort with Google Workspace, virtual meetings and CRMs (HubSpot is an asset)

Earnings

Uncapped and recurring. Current partners earn between $1,000 and $25,000 per month depending on portfolio size. Reseller rates sit above our Referral track; specifics are discussed during onboarding.

Time commitment

Very flexible — from a few hours a week to full-time, whether you are building this as a primary income or running it alongside existing work.
