Position #: 202395 Expected Start Date: December 1, 2025 Union: HSAS Facility: Weyburn Primary Health Care City/Town: Weyburn Department: Primary Care Sites Type: Full time regular FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days Hours of Work: 14 shifts of 8 hours per 3 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: $51.102 to $62.500 (5 step range) : Physician Assistants (PAs) are academically and clinically educated medical generalist who practice medicine within a formalized relationship with a physician. Regulated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS), PAs collect and interpret medical information, make appropriate clinical decisions and carry out diagnostic and therapeutic interventions within a formalized Physician/PA relationship agreement approved by the CPSS.
Travel Required: No Human Resources Exemption: No Experience - Clinical experience working as a PA in a related clinical field, is an asset Education - Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant educational degree program recognized by the Physician Assistant Certification Council of Canada (PACCC) - Holds one of the following certifications: Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (CCPA) through PACCC or the Physician Assistant - Certified (PA-C) through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). (May be asked to provide proof of meeting maintenance of certification requirements).
Licenses - Membership and Licensure in good standing with the CPSS as a Physician Assistant (Eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) for applicants outside of Saskatchewan) - Membership with the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants Competencies - Advanced - Interpersonal skills - Intermediate - Mobilizes people, inspires and leads by example - Advanced - Analytical skills - Intermediate - Computer skills - Advanced - Communication skills - Advanced - Technical skills Knowledge and Abilities - Committed to delivering on patient and family centred care - Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team - Exemplifies ethical practices, professionalism and personal integrity - Commitment to a diverse, representative workforce and cultural safety - Demonstrated written and spoken competence in English language - Ability to work independently - Commitment to quality, safety, and improvement striving towards zero harm - Ability to treat patients with compassion and empathy Other Information - Advanced Cardiac Life Support certificate (ACLS) an asset - Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (PALS) an asset - Current ATLS Certification (Advanced Trauma Life Support), is an asset - Standby may be required.
