Role Description This contract, in office role is based at a pre-cast concrete operation in Headingley, MB. The Pre-cast Concrete Plant Manager and Finisher oversees daily plant activities, including setting up and managing formwork, coordinating heavy equipment use, and supervising the production schedule to meet quality and safety standards. The role includes hands-on finishing of pre-cast components, monitoring concrete placement and curing, and ensuring flatwork and ready-mix concrete meet specifications.

Responsibilities also include directing a small crew, maintaining equipment and materials, implementing safety procedures,



and collaborating with project managers and contractors to support construction timelines.

Qualifications

- Strong practical experience with formwork and flatwork, including layout, setup, and concrete finishing.
- Proficiency operating or coordinating heavy equipment used in concrete production and installation.
- Hands-on experience with ready mix concrete, including placement, compaction, finishing, and curing practices.
- Carpentry skills relevant to building and modifying concrete forms and related structures.
- Experience managing or leading crews in a plant or construction environment, with a focus on safety and productivity.
- Knowledge of pre-cast concrete processes, quality control standards, and basic construction drawings or blueprints.
- Ability to work on-site in varying weather conditions, lift and move materials safely, and follow all safety regulations.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to Headingley, MB; relevant trade certification or equivalent experience is an asset.
