The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a full-time, 4-month contract, Program Engagement Co-Facilitator within the Institute for Mental Health Policy Research (IMHPR). Reporting to the Principal Investigator and Research Manager and working with a range of youth shelter and housing system partners, health sector partners, and government, you will lead knowledge mobilization activities for the Housing, Outreach, Peer Support and Collaborative Care (HOP-C) program. Drawing upon your lived expertise, you will support the co-development and dissemination of research findings through co-design engagement sessions, participatory action projects, presentations, educational resources, digital media, policy briefs, community events, and other knowledge mobilization products.

You will work collaboratively with researchers, service providers, youth and adult lived experts, and community organizations to ensure that HOP-C knowledge products are relevant, accessible, and responsive to the needs of diverse audiences. You will also contribute to stakeholder engagement, advisory activities, participant engagement, and project communications. You will support a healthy workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable regulatory requirements, and encourages recovery-oriented care.

This position is primarily located at 250 College Street.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have minimum of 12 months of lived/living experience related to mental health and/or substance use challenges including working within the youth homelessness and child protection sectors and have had experience as a service recipient. Experience in facilitation, peer support, education, or similar lived-experience-based roles is required. Experience leading or contributing to knowledge mobilization, community engagement, facilitation, education, or research activities is an asset. Experience with participatory action projects with youth who have experienced homelessness is an asset. Demonstrated experience co-developing presentations, educational resources, webinars, digital content, reports, or other knowledge products for diverse audiences is an asset.



Experience working collaboratively with researchers, service providers, community organizations, and individuals with lived expertise is an asset. Basic proficiency with digital tools such as email, office software, and online communication platforms (e.g., PC software skills, including Microsoft Office, virtual meeting platforms is required. Detail oriented, well-organized, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), you function well within a cooperative, collaborative working environment. You have the ability for self-directed learning and working while contributing to multiple concurrent projects. Candidates must be able to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and communities, including people experiencing complex mental health, substance use, and housing challenges. Bilingualism (English/French) and/or proficiency in another language, and experience working with Indigenous peoples and communities are also assets. Salary Range: $25.59 - $31.58 per hour
