Position SummaryInsight Behaviour Support Services (IBSS) is seeking a highly skilled clinician who combines Registered Psychotherapist and Registered Behaviour Analyst expertise to expand psychotherapy and specialized mental health and behavioural consultation across the organizations we support.

The primary focus of this role is the delivery of direct, evidence-informed psychotherapy services. The clinician will also serve as a specialized mental health consultant to RBAs, supported organizations, families/caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams where mental health and behavioural needs intersect. The role is particularly suited to a clinician experienced with youth and adolescents with developmental disabilities, dual diagnoses, trauma histories, emotional regulation challenges, complex mental health needs, and ideally addictions/substance-use concerns.

Where psychotherapy demand has been met and capacity is available, the clinician may maintain an approved RBA caseload or provide other behaviour-analytic clinical services, subject to Clinical Director approval.

Key Responsibilities· Maintain an active psychotherapy caseload and deliver direct billable psychotherapy services across supported organizations.

· Complete clinical intake, assessment, case formulation, treatment planning, progress monitoring, documentation, and discharge/transition planning.

· Provide evidence-informed psychotherapy for mental health, emotional, behavioural, developmental, relational, and trauma-related needs within scope.

· Integrate ABA and psychotherapy perspectives to support coordinated, person-centred treatment.

· Provide specialized mental health consultation to RBAs without assuming supervisory responsibility or accountability for their caseloads.

· Consult on complex presentations involving dual diagnosis, trauma, addictions/substance-use concerns, emotional regulation, anxiety, mood, and other mental health factors.

· Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences, circle-of-care meetings, crisis/stabilization planning, and complex-case consultation when appropriate.

· Consult with supported organizations, families/caregivers, and community partners regarding mental health considerations and appropriate clinical pathways.

· Identify when psychiatric, medical, addiction, crisis, or other specialized services are required and support appropriate referral/escalation.

· Where approved and capacity permits,



maintain an RBA caseload and provide behaviour-analytic assessment, treatment planning, data review, and related clinical services.

· Develop and deliver mental health education, clinical resources, and practice tools that strengthen integrated behavioural and mental health services.

· Maintain accurate, timely, confidential, and professionally compliant clinical documentation.

· Practice within all applicable regulatory, ethical, privacy, consent, and organizational requirements.

· Report significant clinical, ethical, regulatory, scope-of-practice, or risk concerns to the Clinical Director.

QualificationsRequired· Master's degree in Counselling Psychology, Psychology, Behaviour Analysis, Social Work, or a related discipline that supports the required professional registrations.

· Registered Behaviour Analyst (R.B.A. (Ont.)) in good standing with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO).

· Registered Psychotherapist (R.P.) in valuable standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).

· Approximately 3-7 years of relevant clinical experience, with strong experience supporting youth and adolescents with mental health and developmental needs.

· Demonstrated psychotherapy/counselling experience with individuals presenting with developmental disabilities, dual diagnosis, autism spectrum disorder, mental health concerns, emotional regulation challenges, and/or complex behavioural needs.

· Strong knowledge of ABA and demonstrated ability to integrate behavioural and mental health perspectives while maintaining clear scope-of-practice boundaries.

· Experience working within multidisciplinary teams and contributing to collaborative treatment planning.

· Strong clinical documentation, communication, professional judgment, and case-management skills.

· Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.

Preferred· Experience with dual diagnosis and complex developmental/mental health presentations.

· Experience supporting individuals with addictions or substance-use concerns.

· Trauma-informed psychotherapy training and experience.

· Experience working with MCCSS-funded developmental services and Quality Assurance Measures (QAM).

· Experience consulting with residential/group-home teams, families, agencies, and community service providers.





· Experience supporting complex or high-risk clinical situations within professional scope.

Adaptability: Balances psychotherapy demand, consultation priorities, and approved RBA clinical work while responding appropriately to evolving organizational needs.

Professional Practice Requirements· Maintain CPBAO and CRPO registration in good standing.

· Maintain professional liability insurance and required certifications.

· Practice within skilled scope and competence and in accordance with applicable legislation, ethical standards, privacy/confidentiality requirements, and organizational policies.

· Participate in ongoing professional development relevant to psychotherapy, ABA, developmental disabilities, dual diagnosis, trauma-informed practice, and the populations served.
