- Define electrical requirements, control interfaces, and technical deliverables throughout all project phases
- Prepare, review, and technically validate drawings, specifications, bid packages, equipment lists, and engineering documentation
- Coordinate technical activities with engineering firms, systems integrators, contractors, suppliers, project managers, and internal stakeholders
- Contribute to feasibility studies, option evaluations, preliminary estimates, schedules, and technical recommendations
- Participate in design reviews, constructability assessments, risk reviews, systems integration, and commissioning
- Identify technical challenges, recommend solutions, and support continuous improvement of engineering standards and practices
- Support the definition, development, and execution of capital projects involving electrical systems, instrumentation, automation, industrial controls, and systems integration
- Travel regularly to facilities throughout the Northeast region to maintain field presence and support local teams
- Report to the Regional Capital Projects Engineering Manager Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automated Production Engineering, or an equivalent recognized engineering discipline
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, automation, industrial controls, industrial projects, maintenance, or reliability
- Experience supporting capital project development and execution, preferably within FEL processes, engineering deliverables, and multidisciplinary project environments




- Strong understanding of electrical systems, instrumentation, automation technologies, and industrial control architectures
- Ability to review, interpret, and validate technical drawings, specifications, engineering documentation, and system designs
- Experience with machine safety
- Commitment to protected, reliable, and compliant work practices
- Functional bilingualism in French and English, spoken and written, is required
- Knowledge of aluminum smelters, heavy industrial operations, manufacturing environments, electrical distribution systems, or advanced control systems Demonstrates expertise in electrical engineering, automation, and industrial controls, with a strong focus on capital project development and execution.
