Cedarwood Village is an accredited 90 bed nursing home located in Simcoe (Norfolk County).

POSITION: Registered Nurse (RN). - CASUAL (12 HR SHIFTS)

This position reports to the Director of Care.

Looking for someone to join our team with the ability to cover call-ins, vacations, LOA's etc.

Responsibilities:

- Utilizes the nursing process, critical thinking and problem solving skills to provide resident centered care
- Responsible for the overall coordination and direction of nursing care
- Provide clinical leadership
- Have the knowledge, skill and judgment needed to provide competent, evidenced based nursing practice
- Accountable for monitoring resident status, RAI/MDS documentations, administering medications, taking action in response to resident changes, development, implementation and ongoing evaluation of the plan of care to achieve quality resident outcomes.




- Contributes to the effective and effective functioning of the nursing home, coordinating patient care and communicating with various outside providers.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Care

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Graduate from a recognized Nursing program
- Current registration and good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current CPR
- 2 -5 years of LTC experience
- Geriatric experience an asset
- Demonstrated clinical skills
- Must have effective oral and written communication skills in English
- A clear criminal record check, including Vulnerable Sector Search
- 2-Step TB test

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $39.52-$51.44 per hour

- Registered Nurse (RN) License (preferred)
