The Prescription Continuity Lead is a Registered Pharmacy Technician, who reports to the Assistant Manager. The position is responsible for technical and workflow functions concerning the Prescription Continuity department, specifically, training of new pharmacy assistants, troubleshooting staff inquiries, investigating incidents in the Prescription Continuity department and meeting daily operational objectives. They are also responsible for projects and pharmacy initiatives in the department as delegated by the pharmacy management team.

Role Accountabilities:

- Ensuring accurate documentation of completed work as per policies and procedures · Preparing prescriptions (gathering data from nursing staff) to be filled via dispensary software

· Processing, adjudicating, closing batches, and processing batch prescriptions

· Processing roll over / unfills for continuity

· Assisting in the processing and coordination of emergency supplies

· Ensuring close monitoring and escalation of batched medications for controlled substances ensuring refills are maintained

· Maintaining a clean and secure work environment

· Maintaining strict confidentiality and ethical standards

· Assist with incident investigation

· Train new hires, reporting progress back to your Manager

· Coordinate billing processes and requirements with other Pharmacy Assistant Leads

· Project support as required

Lead Activities

- Draft schedules for designated areas for management approval. Identifying need or opportunity for resource allocation.
- Monitor daily workflow, actively work to manage bottlenecks and escalate where appropriate.
- Work with designated managers to reallocate resources and request for resources throughout the day and project periods.
- Conduct training on procedures for new and developing team members.
- Act as a subject matter expert in the area of compliance




- Assist in the development and maintenance of SOP for compliance procedures and processes.
- Ensures Health and Safety Policies and procedures are followed
- Escalation of staff disputes to management, acting in a manner that is professional.
- Uphold and display CareRx values.
- Manage huddles when the designated manager is absent as applicable.
