RPN/RN – Foot Care Nurse

One of a network of provincial community health centres, the NorWest Community Health Centres is a community based, non-profit organization funded by Ontario Health, emphasizing access to primary health care and prevention programs and services.
We are currently seeking 3 casual Foot Care RPN/RN Nurses, who as valuable members of the Community Health Centre team, will provide foot care services and assist in the delivery of primary care services to the clients we serve with a strong emphasis on disease prevention, health promotion, education and empowerment. This position will have no scheduled rotation and be offered shifts for days, evenings and weekends.
The position has a competitive salary and an option to join Health Care of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP).
The pay range for this position is $29.182 to $35.157 per hour for Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) and $39.582 to $45.707 per hour for Registered Nurses (RNs). Compensation will commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with current registration in positive standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Foot Care Nurse.
- Certification in Basic and Advanced Foot Care is required to perform clinical activities in accordance with the College of Nurses of Ontario standards for nursing practice.
- Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in current nursing procedures, nursing assessments, physical assessments, and treatment interventions.
- Strong organizational, communication,
and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team environment.
- Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize professional assessment skills to identify the physical, mental, and psychosocial needs of clients.
- Awareness of and sensitivity to health issues affecting individuals who experience barriers to accessing care, including those who are underhoused, living with mental health challenges or diagnoses, have current or past substance use concerns, complex health histories, are members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, newcomers, or uninsured individuals.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing culturally safe, client-centered, and equitable care.
