The Sales Associate plays a key role in supporting the Area Sales Manager while contributing to an exceptional customer experience throughout the home-buying journey. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, this position is responsible for assisting with customer relationship management, maintaining accurate sales records, supporting community sales operations, and ensuring the sales centre reflects Trico Homes' high standards. The successful candidate is organized, customer-focused, and eager to build a career in recent home sales.
This role provides valuable hands-on experience across all aspects of the sales process and serves as a developmental opportunity for future advancement into an Area Sales Manager position.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the Area Sales Manager in achieving community sales targets and business objectives
- Welcome customers to the sales centre and provide a professional, engaging first impression
- Register customers accurately and maintain customer records, appointments, opportunities, and follow-up activities within HubSpot
- Assist in qualifying prospective purchasers and managing customer relationships throughout the home-buying journey
- Prepare documentation, contracts, and customer files while ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Maintain organized homeowner files in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Prepare paperwork and materials required for customer appointments and sales presentations
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and coordinate solutions with internal departments when required
- Support weekly customer communication and construction updates throughout the building process
- Assist with market research, competitive analysis, pricing information, and quarterly business planning
- Complete weekly traffic reports and support sales reporting requirements
- Maintain the presentation, cleanliness, signage, marketing materials, and overall appearance of the sales centre and show homes
- Monitor inventory of brochures, supplies, refreshments, and sales materials
- Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, community events, and marketing initiatives
- Collaborate with Construction, Drafting, Design, Marketing, Warranty,
and Operations teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience
- Continue developing product knowledge, construction knowledge, blueprint interpretation, and sales skills in preparation for future advancement
- Other duties as may be assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous sales or customer service experience required; new home sales experience is considered an asset
- Post-secondary education is preferred
- Strong desire to build a long-term career in current home sales
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining accuracy
- Experience using CRM systems; HubSpot experience is considered an asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Professional, polished, and customer-focused presentation
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Demonstrates initiative, accountability, and a strong work ethic
- Passion for continuous learning and professional development
Working Conditions:
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computers and peripherals
- Regular interaction with customers, realtors, and members of the public
- Weekend and holiday work required
- Occasional overtime may be required
- Extended periods of standing and walking throughout the sales centre and show homes
