Paladin Security is hiring a Security Supervisor to join our team at North York General Hospital (Leslie) in Toronto, ON.

Position: Security Supervisor

Employment Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Continental Rotation | 7:00 AM–7:00 PM / 7:00 PM–7:00 AM

Pay: $24.67/hour

Overtime: Averaging Agreement after 88 hours

What You’ll Do

As a Security Supervisor, you will provide leadership and direction to the security team while ensuring all site policies, procedures, and daily security activities are carried out effectively.

Your responsibilities will include

- Provide leadership, direction, ongoing coaching, and training to security staff
- Ensure all standing orders and scheduled daily activities are completed as required for each shift
- Ensure staff adhere to all Paladin Security and site-specific security policies and procedures
- Plan and implement shift work schedules
- Ensure all Security Guards have completed mandatory training
- Motivate staff and issue commendations
- Discipline staff when necessary and ensure proper documentation is provided to head office
- Perform security audits
- Document and investigate security incidents and complaints
- Conduct proactive and reactive security patrols




- Communicate concerns and issues with the Client Service Manager

To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB-approved provider
- Proof of double COVID vaccination
- Immunization record for measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and TB skin tests 1 and 2
- Valid G Class Driver’s License
- Willingness to complete N95 mask fit testing during training
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Legal authorization to work in Canada
- Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certifications

Applicants who do not currently possess UOF/MOAB certifications can opt into Paladin’s certification program before onboarding training to meet the requirements of the position. Please note: UOF/MOAB certification training is an unpaid pre-employment requirement. Paladin will cover the cost of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability.

Preferred Qualifications

- At least 1 year of healthcare security supervisor or team lead experience
- Post-secondary education in a law enforcement/security program from a recognized college
