UNIQLO Canada’s PR Team elevates the brand’s presence by developing and executing innovative public relations and communications strategies. Our mission is to enhance awareness of UNIQLO’s products, collaborative projects, and the distinct design philosophy that sets us apart in the fashion industry. Through thoughtful storytelling and meaningful engagement with media and stakeholders, we inspire Canadian customers to become passionate advocates for “LifeWear,” the core concept driving UNIQLO’s approach to product development.
Position Overview:
As a key member of UNIQLO Canada’s PR Team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the public perception of the brand. This position drives innovative communications strategies, builds strong relationships with media and influencers, and delivers compelling brand stories to the Canadian market. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support major product launches, retail milestones, and brand initiatives, ensuring UNIQLO’s unique LifeWear philosophy resonates with audiences nationwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Execution: Design and implement creative PR and communications campaigns for product launches, designer collaborations, and strategic brand initiatives.
- Media Relations: Cultivate and strengthen relationships with leading traditional and digital media, as well as key industry influencers nationwide. Articulate and refine UNIQLO’s tone of voice across all internal and external communications.
- Events and Activations:
Orchestrate impactful press previews, launch events, and unique brand experiences that generate buzz and foster meaningful media coverage.
- Campaign Analysis: Monitor, analyze, and report on PR campaign performance, using key metrics to optimize strategies and maximize return on investment (ROI).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, e-commerce, and store operations teams to support brand milestones, major retail campaigns, and new store openings.
- Toronto Showroom Management: Oversee the Toronto showroom, including managing the sample closet and coordinating product displays.
What You Bring:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in public relations, marketing, or communications—preferably within fashion/retail, cosmetics, consumer goods, or luxury sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in PR, Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading abilities.
- Strong visual sensibility, with an eye for design, page layout, and impactful content.
- Excellent research, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects in a dynamic workplace.
- Proficiency in digital analytics is an asset.
- Hands-on experience with PR initiatives such as brand events, gifting, guest list management, and project coordination.
- Ability to thrive under tight deadlines.
- Experience working with external agencies and creative partners.
- Deep awareness of culture and trends across fashion, literature, art, and music.
- Strong understanding of current social trends and digital platforms.
- Well-established connections within media industries and the influencer community.

Annual Salary: $87,000 - $92,000 CAD The salary range is based on several factors, including but not limited to overall experience, relevant experience, education level, certifications, applicable skills and expertise, and the position location.
