System Administrator

We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to manage our critical infrastructure across Oracle Linux environments and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This role involves infrastructure lifecycle management, security compliance, system optimization, and ensuring reliable operations across 40+ servers supporting our application ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities Infrastructure & OS Management

- Deploy product releases to production environments
- Monitor OS automatic updates and security patches, scheduling and executing maintenance reboots as needed
- Manage 40+ servers including application, logging, searching, queueing, metrics, database support, build, VPN, and certificate authority systems

Security & Compliance

- Validate and respond to weekly vulnerability scan results
- Assess CVE vulnerabilities and implement remediation strategies
- Maintain security across all integration points (sFTP, VPNs, Web Services)

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Administration

- Create and provision new compute instances
- Manage load balancers, backend sets, and traffic distribution




- Maintain Virtual Cloud Networks (VCNs) and network architecture
- Configure and enforce Network Security Groups (NSGs) and Web Application Firewall (WAF) rules
- Manage Object Storage for application data and backups
- Configure and maintain File Systems for shared access

Troubleshooting & Maintenance

- Monitor system health and proactively address potential failures
- Maintain accurate documentation of infrastructure configurations and changes
- Coordinate with development and database teams on infrastructure needs

Qualifications

- 8-10+ years of systems administration experience
- Solid hands-on experience with Linux system administration
- Demonstrated experience managing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, firewalls)
- Experience with OS patching, updates, and maintenance procedures
- Understanding of security best practices and vulnerability management
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

- Familiarity with monitoring and alerting systems
- Experience with database infrastructure and administration concepts
- Knowledge of VPN, SSL/TLS, and certificate management
- Experience with Oracle Database environments
