We are looking for anexperienced tax professionalto join us. This is an ideal prospect for someone with real-world tax experience who may be:
- Looking for impactful, high-level work in a fast-moving environment
- Interested in transitioning from external advisory to an embedded strategic role This isnot a junior position. You will work directly with the Founder and CIO on strategic legal/tax operations and help lay the groundwork for a proprietary internal tax software system.
Responsibilities - Evaluate and document TTG’s current tax process
- Understand our GP/LP and International trading structure
- Advise on transitioning some tax functions in-house
- Identify what parts of tax preparation, filings, or compliance could be internalized in a cost-effective, low-risk manner
- Lead the scoping of a proprietary tax software solution
- Work with our software developers to define features,
workflows, and reporting logic for a future internal system.
Requirements - Eligible to work in Canada
- University degree in Accounting, Taxation or a related field
- CPA designation, enrolment in the CPA program, or equivalent tax/legal training is a strong asset
- 3+ years of experience in Canadian corporate tax or compliance
- Exposure to cross-border or multi-entity structures (e.g. LP/GP) preferred
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Interested in working with a hedge fund at the intersection of finance, law, and technology
- Entrepreneurial mindset — thrives in a high-autonomy, high-impact role
- Based in Canada (Alberta preferred but not required)
