Course Description: The course examines how computer technologies facilitate women's participation in cyberspace and how women define and construct their involvement. It studies the simultaneous generation of current modalities of empowerment and disempowerment including language, role-playing, communication, gaming, and networking and conduits for sex trafficking, harassment and other forums of exploitation.

Sessional Dates of Appointment: September 1, 2026 - December 31, 2026

Salary: $54.27 per hour

Qualifications: Applicants will have a Masters or Ph.D. in Gender, Feminist and/or Sexuality Studies or a closely related discipline. A Ph.D. degree in Gender, Feminist or Sexuality Studies is preferred. Previous experience in a similar course is desirable.

Description of Duties: Duties may include the marking of assignments, holding scheduled office hours and invigilation of exams; other duties as determined by the supervisor.
