The Social Service Worker’s primary responsibility is to provide treatment, rehabilitative and support services following Recovery Principles for individuals and groups. The Social Service Worker will work with the clients/families and treatment team to actively help rehabilitate each client to achieve their maximum functional level through planned therapeutic programs. This position is initially targeted to work in the Wellness and Recovery Centre with the understanding that the Social Service Worker is a member of the Mental Health and Addictions Department and as such may be assigned to another program as needed.Qualifications / Skills / Abilities:RequiredCurrent registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers; or ability and willingness to obtain during probation periodMinimum two years’ experience as a Social Service Worker within a multi-disciplinary team serving individuals with substance use and mental health issuesKnowledge of mental health reform, values and principles of recovery, Mental Health Act, PHIPPA,
