Job Description Are you interested in the opportunity to work as a Strategic Execution Practice Management Winter Intern at RBC? In this role, you’ll provide portfolio management and enablement support to the team. You’ll build tools and templates, assist in standardizing project documentation and reporting, support process development and also assist with other team enablement initiatives. This role presents opportunities to connect across the entire Strategic Execution team, including senior leadership. Strong communication and organizational skills, business acumen, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, will make you a valuable asset in this role. As part of the Process Risk Centre of Excellence and Strategic Execution group under the RBC Enterprise Chief Controls Office, the Strategic Execution team has a mandate to develop and implement a proactive, standardized, scalable program and project management discipline that drives consistency in delivery of strategic objectives, while ensuring execution of RBC enterprise and cross-functional business programs and projects. Working within a high-performance area of the bank, the team provides opportunities for skill development, career advancement, and the chance to work on the bank’s most ambitious initiatives.
What is Opportunity
Portfolio Management Support: Gather requirements, build dashboards and analytical tools, perform data analysis, and present insights in clear, actionable formats
Enablement Initiatives: Assist in developing team resources including Connect sites, templates, and tools to standardize processes
Project Support (as needed): Help prepare and update project materials and artifacts to maintain consistency and clarity
Cross-Team Collaboration: Support additional initiatives while connecting across the broader Strategic Execution organization
What do you need to succeed? Must-have
Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited University
An interest in project management; prior experience is not required but ability and willingness to learn quickly is a must
Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated ability to professionally communicate with senior management
Technical Skills: Strong Microsoft Office proficiency – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, prior experience building Dashboards
The ability to work independently as well as to be able to collaborate and work effectively in teams, with internal departments and build partnerships with stakeholders
Strong business acumen and analytical mindset
Excellent organizational skills
Strategic thinker with passion for using creativity in problem solving
Nice-to-have
Experience and knowledge of project management standards
Please note This posting is for a 4-months Winter 2027 Student placement with a start date of January 2027, and end date of April 2027. In order to be eligible for this 4-months Student position, you must either:
Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of April 2027 ; or
If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in April 2027), you must require the full 4-months work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.
